The old saying 'Less is More' really makes sense. Beheading, crucifying, and a public display of the body of a child raper, and murderer in Saudi Arabia is such a case.
There may be (very likely) more twisted and perverted cretins in Saudia Arabia who would enjoy an afternoon of homosexual gratification on a young boy, with the intent of silencing him permanently after the deed.
Those slime dog animals now have something else to consider when making their plans though.
Ahmed al-Anzi, who was a shop owner in the Muslim nation is now at ambient temperature and missing his head. After the beheading, he was crucified in public for all to see and as stated by the authorities "as a way to set an example"
Well, I hope it works, not for the convenioence of the next would be child rapist (molestor is too clean a word) but for the victim child.
Life is difficult enough for children, none should have to face the threat or the problems created by being raped (abused is also too clean a word) in life.
The Western world could learn something from the reimpostion of public executions in relation to serious crimes. The societal imperative to create an orederly society for its citizens requires those same citizens to behave themselves even when they don't want to.
The current Pop Tart culture prevalent in the United States for instance carries no stigma on abberant behavior.
At one time it was considered a shameful thing to be a 'bum'. As far as I can tell, no one actually died of the shame, nor was there a fatality closely associated with the stigma, but it did keep folks from being proud of being homeless, out of work, and living on the hand outs from private or public coffers.
The same can be said for any abberant behavior. (lets see how carefully I can dance around a subject.)
An abberrant behavior which is contra indicated to the longevity and well being of society as a whole should not be made into a badge of honor.
An abberrant behavior which does not promote the well being of society should never be given a protected status so as to maintain or even foster the growth of that aberrant behavior.
Yes, where I'm going with this thought is the same sex marriage issue (specifically in California)
Do not misunderstand what I'm saying though, I am not advocating an active dislike of any individual, or group of people for that matter.
I adhere very strictly to the Biblical concept of love the sinner and hate the sin. (in this case it would appear to me, to be a societal sin also)
I am not placing anyones sins above my own in ranking them. No sin is the goal, but we all fall short of the glory of God.(Rom 3:23)
Gay pride is not a crime, but neither should it be a goal. Personal pride is a goal worthy of every human on the planet, but pride an abberrant behavior is not a goal which creates a benefit for the Human Race.
Just as those who practise child rape, murder, bestiality, financial misdeeds on a grand scale (Bernie Madoff) or any other act of mayhem against the population, should not be held up as role models for children to emulate.
And that is the real problem I see in making same sex marriage a "right".
The issue of who is or is not a role model and for what reason are they held to be a role model.
Gay or straight may not always be the issue when considering who is a good role model.
Any person can have redeeming and valid features to be lauded in public discourse. But as a society we need to be cautious about what we provide for our children as Life Goals.
How many have I irritated with the tangent I took?
