Freegan Freaks

There are people who are dumpster divers not by circumstance but by choice. That to my way of thinking is a sign of a twisted societal evolutionary dead end.
 
 
 
I see dumpster divers in California where I live, more commonly known as 'bums', living in the woods, coming out at night to beg for change, picking up cans, - (why are there campsites always so dirty if they spend all that time do the recycle thing?) and just generaly beeing an unproductive member of society.
 
They aren't unworthy of consideration as people, but they make nearly zero effort to join the society in which they live.
 
The Freegans on the other hand are just plain stoned out wierd.
I wonder how many Freegans voted for John McCain, Bob Barr or Ron Paul?
 
Yeah, I didn't think so either.

Government Motors Corporation

GM now is Government Motors, not General Mototrs. Spongebama told GM CEO Rick Wagoner to hit the road and Rick Wagnoer is out.
Seems like a step backward in putting more people to work to kick one guy to the curb and put him on unemployment but... thats the Spongebama plan of the moment.
 
There is much to be said about the issue of government control of what USED TO BE a privately owned company. Critisism of the current [p] res**ent (no id) for such direct interference in the business is easy to do except that GM lined up at the government trough and at that point lost the ability to be a wholly free market based company.
 
Spongebama and his boytoy Timmy have the reins and are determined to run the nation into the ground and in to a typical failed Soviet Communist Economic model which has never worked and will never work.
 
How long will the American Citizens put up with the American Communist Manifesto being made manifest in our lifetimes you might ask.
The answer is of course incrementalism. Spongebama can make the changes one at a time leaving room for a new American Idol to be voted off, a new Supermodel to be crowned and the next big 'crisis' of whatever type to capture the attention of the Gullible Old Party and before yu know it we have a five year plan, and a ten year plan with price controls, wage controls and no need to hold elections when the Spongebama is doing so well at managing the crisis (and the production of those crisis)
 
  • On Monday, Obama is to announce measures to restructure GM and Chrysler LLC in exchange for additional government loans.
 
The takeover of a private corporation is the deathknell for that company.
It would have been far better to declare bankruptcy, close the books and sell the portions needed to make cars to an enterprising group to restart the process without the onerous union contracts which keep retired auto workers at nearly their working wages and with health benfits  forever.
 
This is a wrong turn in the road to take for this nation and it needs to be taken seriously for what it is. Nationalization in the mold of Hugo Chavez and his fecal hole third world country.
 
As Yogi Berra said: When you come to a fork in the road, take it.
 
I don't think he had in mind taking the fork which leads to jumping off a cliff.

ChiCom Phishing Attacks

A Canadian group has uncovered what appears to be one of the largest and most invasive phishing operations ever detected.
The phishing scheme was brought to light when the Dalai Lama had the computers used by him and his staff.
The group who unearthed the problem are based at University of Totonto and are the Munk Center for International Studies.

The phishing operation which appears to be predominantly centered in China has been operating for at least two years and has attacked more than 1.295 computers in at least 103 countries. The ChiComs of course deny any involvement in the operation.... Right, as if anyone with an IQ higher than Joe Bidens single digit IQ would trust the inscrutable ChiCom government. 
The targets have been primarily government offices, the Dalai Lama and others who are opposed to the Chinese government in one form or another. Just the average scammer looking for bank codes account numbers and such with a flaire for the international I presume.

The GhostNet system has been used to control some opponents of the Tibetan invasion by China in 1959 and other South Asian and Southeast Asian nations. Such as - no doubt - Japan and Taiwan?

The researchers at the Munk Center for International Studies have been careful to not ascribe the phishing attack to the Chinese government but have instead simply made note that the computers being attacked have been those which might benefit the government of China to have access to.  How incredibly magnaminious of them.

One interesting item in the report from the New York Times has been the ability of the phishing program to remotely control the microphone and camera of an infected computer to be able to watch and listen in to what is occurring at the computers vicinity.

The phishing or, due to its size, whaling operation is still an ongoing operation was not random in nature, but instead was seeking specific targets with information of value to the Chinese Government. That is a far cry from the random operations from typical low level scam artists looking for information to use in identity theft or monetary theft operations.

    • The electronic spy game has had at least some real-world impact, they said. For example, they said, after an e-mail invitation was sent by the Dalai Lama’s office to a foreign diplomat, the Chinese government made a call to the diplomat discouraging a visit. And a woman working for a group making Internet contacts between Tibetan exiles and Chinese citizens was stopped by Chinese intelligence officers on her way back to Tibet, shown transcripts of her online conversations and warned to stop her political activities.


Additional reports are being released by the Munk group and two researchers in Britain from Cambridge University who worked on part of the investigation.
The two researchers in Britain have layed the blame at the feet of the Chinese government and are releasing an independent report soon.

    • “What Chinese spooks did in 2008, Russian crooks will do in 2010 and even low-budget criminals from less developed countries will follow in due course,” the Cambridge researchers, Shishir Nagaraja and Ross Anderson, wrote in their report, “The Snooping Dragon: Social Malware Surveillance of the Tibetan Movement.”


It can be difficult to perceive how such a controlled nation as China might have rogue operators working such schemes when Internet access is rather carefully monitored and controlled in China.


The break in detecting the scope of the operation and its origins was found by Mr. Villeneuve in Totonto.

    • In a puzzling security lapse, the Web page that Mr. Villeneuve found was not protected by a password, while much of the rest of the system uses encryption.

      Mr. Villeneuve and his colleagues figured out how the operation worked by commanding it to infect a system in their computer lab in Toronto. On March 12, the spies took their own bait. Mr. Villeneuve watched a brief series of commands flicker on his computer screen as someone — presumably in China — rummaged through the files. Finding nothing of interest, the intruder soon disappeared.

      With the operation still ongoing the full scope of the phishing operation is yet to be determined.

Single Party 'Democracy' Continues

In the days of yore when the RepubliCrats were in the majority, the byword of the day was bi-partisanship. An all inclusive government, brininging the best ideas of both parties to the table to discuss so the RepubliCrats could feel good about themselves knowing they had given in to the DemocraSocialists and in the process learned how to write Earmks as well as the Socialists, Liberal Scum, Donkey Dungers, DemocraSocialists.
These days a much better plan for the DemocraSocialists has been provided by SINator Dingey Hairy Reid and Red Nanny PeeLousy.
 
The Era of MonoParty Theatricaly Yammering (EMPTY) politics is being foisted on the American brain dead electorate who chose The Spongebama after realizing John McShamnesty was just DemocraSocialist Lite and not overly hip, photogenic and had a lousy speechifying voice. (my seven year old grandson sounds more manly than Johhny Arizona does)
 
Dingey Reid has every intention it seems of passing both a Nationalized Health Care (Euro-Centric lack of health care plan) and an energy plan with no input from or interference from the SINate RepubliCrats.
One party rule is here and here to stay if the DemocraSocialists (DS's) have their way.
 
We could of course applaud the DS's willingness to take on the burden of failure and the responsibility for that failure, but that would ultimately be counter productive.
The DS's would blame the RepubliCrats for the failures, the RepubliCrats would fight back like limp wristed under weight sumo wrestlers and accept the blame and we're back to square one ( or further.)
 
Dingey Harry with his insistence on creating an even larger entitlement program to keep the masses of unemployed, under employed and Illegal Invaders of thee country in the DemocraSocialist ranks is willing to take the nation down a path to oblivion for the purpose of Partisan Rule in Perpetuity.
 
To hell with the Nation, the EuroDemocraSocialists are determined to maintain what they appear to see as their birthright, which is to rule from the Halls of the New American Aristocracy without the need to deal with the RepubliCrat Proletariat and their crazy ideas of personal freedom, personal responsibility, free market capitalism and the ability for each and every American to be the best they can be without interference from government regulation, interference and hyper-taxation.
 
Health Care, Cap & Trade Non-Energy Policy, The (freedom (from) Fairness Doctrine (otherwise known as the Slow Down, I Can't Keep Up Act) and I'm sure a whole raft of "New Ideas For a New Beginning" (of the end) programs to equalize (clear) the playing field for under achievers are what's in store for the Uniited States if this train wreck is allowed to proceed unhindered.

 The political process has gotten so bad recently I feel like I've been on a airplane ride to hell, flying JetBlue and sitting on the tarmac for twelve straight hours and not enough peanuts to go around.
 
I feel like the old joke about the pilot announcement:
 
A plane was taking off from Kennedy Airport. After it reached a comfortable cruising altitude, the captain made announcement over the intercom, 'Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking.  Welcome to Flight Number 293, nonstop from New York to Los Angeles . The weather ahead is good and, therefore, we should have a smooth and uneventful flight.  Now sit back and relax... OH, MY GOD!'  Silence followed, and after a few minutes, the captain came back on the intercom and said, 'Ladies and Gentlemen, I am so sorry if I scared you earlier. While I was talking to you, the flight attendant accidentally spilled a cup of hot coffee in my lap.  You should see the front of  my pants!'  
A passenger in Coach yelled, 'That's nothing.  You should see the back of mine!' 
 
But to be honest I don't expect Spongebama to apologize. I firmly believe he is getting what he wants from this disaster. Please remember he's not even reached the hundred day mark, and IT has hit the fan nearly everyday.

U.N. Needs a New Dictionary

The UN is befuddled again, I believe they must have lost their Websters dictionary. Calling the aid relief for Sudan which will be offered by the remaining groups of Humanitarian Aid groups as a "Band-Aid" as opposed to the permanent solution of having aid groups hand out food.
 
Apparently the concept of handing out food to 1.1 million people is a full time carreer for some of the aid groups and they are not the least bit happy about having the job taken away.
 
I wonder if the UNAMID morons have considered what happens to the birth rate in a third world fecal hole like Darfur when free food and free materials for housing (the trerm being very loosely applied in this case) is offered to a group of locals whose concept of schooling is what fish would do, if they knew where any fish were.
 
The need for food, shelter, health care, sanitation and the latest results from American Idle (not a typo) are basic human needs I will readily admit. But I have also lived long enough to know that when all of the above are handed out with no need for personal endeavor the result is always worse than the pre-existing problem.
 
I may take the time to send Mr. Holmes of the UN a new dictionary so he can study up before talking in public and making a fool of himself again. Or not, somehow I just don't believe it would make a difference.

From his speechifying tonight I thought perhaps Oscar The Grouch had assumed the POTUS slot. I could go with that better than Spongebama.
This President is a very thin skiined sort it seems, he doesn't like pointed questions which lead him into a morass of difficult to remember lies. That seems like a good reason why all of his statements and speeches have expiration dates attached to them
 
In the speech tonight he gave a direct address to the nation before pontificating on the evilness which lurks in the hearts of men (on the Right side of the aisle)

And that is very true, it took Bawney Fwank, Chris Dodd, along with the willing participation of Red Nanny Pelosi and Dingey Harry Reid
 plus the cojone-less Jorge W Bushez to find precisely the right combination of loan programs which were guaranteed to fail in a big way to get us where we are today.
  • And it will take many months and many different solutions to lead us out. There are no quick fixes, and there are no silver bullets.
Yes, it will take many, many moons to find ways to illegally enrich the Spongebama's goons and buffoons who helped him get elected. And until every last one of them is paid off, the crisis' will just have to keep on keeping on. After all it never pays to wastee a good crisis.

China, Spongebama & a Global Currency

China is tiring of Spongebama too. China is calling for a new global currency to replace the US Dollar.
China joins Russia in the call to dump the dollar.
When Russia makes the suggestion it doesn't really mean much, but China still holds more than a Trillion dollars of Fed Treasury bills, and that is a lot of leverage to be used by a group not known to be overly friendly to anyone who gets in the way of whatever plans they might have.
 
In looking at the course of events which Spongebama has taken the nation through and the course he continues to steer. I'm not inclined to be overly optimistic either.
The course toward Socialism is only a waypoint to becoming a true Communist Federal nation.
I and others have posited whether or not Spongebama is a Fifth Columnist, or Manchurian Candidate.
As time slides by with more and more evidence piling up to show the incompetence of Spongebama and his crew of idiots, it seems more realistic to think of Spongebama as a Manchurian Candidate of a newer type.
 
Not a plant from a nation wishing to do us harm. But a person who truly hates the US on his own for his own reasons. A person with the ability to play the game for decades and to wait for his chance to do this nation the greatest amount of harm in the shortest possible amount of time.
 
Much has been noted regarding the involvement of Bawney Fwank and Chris Dodd relative to the banking crisis which started the current collapse of the financial sectors. But lets not forget that Spongebama was the single largest recipient of campaign donations from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
That does not seem as if it is just a coinicidence.
 
How I hope I'm wrong.

Alaska - Largest Polluter on Planet Earth

A report shows the cloud of pollution which is produced in the state of Alaska has been measured at as much as 9 miles high and miles wide at its widest point.
The ecological implications of the size of the cloud are enormous and are yet to be fully understood.
 
There is good news/bad news in the report though. The bad news is: There is nothing to be done about the pollution, it's Mt Redoubt southwest of Anchorage which has erupted. The good news is: The plume of ash is..... well it's just ash.
 
The bad news is: The ash is very fine which gets into the upper atmosphere and will stay there a while.
 
The good news is: Amid the snow and ice covering much of Alaska right now, there is one warm spot. It is an actual Global Warming Event! And that is good news for AlGoreacle who can use the event to point to the truth of his inane predictions of disaster.
 
Bad news: AlGoreacle can't point to a human origin to the problem... yet.
 
Good news: AlGoreacle can "FIND" evidence to implicate Jorge W Bushez and his Shadow Army of covert anti-ecological warriors who caused the eruption.
 
Bad news: AlGOreacle is still a fraud and this event is no more likely to convince anyone of his scientific ability than all of the rest of the fraudulent science he uses.
 
Good News: AlGoreacle is an idiot and will try to make use of the problem somehow.

Does Anyone Know Why?

Why the optimism for Spongebama's Economic plan? I'm puzzled why enough morons voted for him in the first place, but now that his incompetence has been shown for all to seee, why does any person on the planet have confidence in a plan this Man-Child might come up with?
 
Spongebama has never run a business, he only  "spent" 42 days on the job as a Senator. (thanks to Rod Blagoveich) As far as I can tell Spongebama has never even balanced a checkbook!
 
And yet the LLeftist LLemming LLeninists are in thrall over some sort of plan that includes bankrupting the nation.
The process must include alternative higher math, the type which uses joints and hash pipes to make it work out on the bottom line.
 
If there is anyone out there in the big wide world who knows why the Man-Child should be able to come up with a plan to fix what Bawney Fwank and Chrissy Dodd-ering broke while playing with the moprtgage industry.... help me out here.

Lets Do Some Muslim Profiling

When the culture is threatened, and society is to be hoist by its own petard it might be time to make a special exception for the Religion of Hate and Mass Murder.
 This is just a thought, CONgress is fond of grandstanding by dragging CEO's through the process of CONgressional hearings. So.... why not do a little common sense profiling.
We could start with all of the Catholics who participated in the 9-11 attack. Then move on to the Evangelicals who helped the Catholics attack the WTC. After that a hearing to grill the Buddhists who were guilty of bombing the embassies overseas.
After all of that is done though, it might be time to take a look at the folks who actively hate you and I.
(That would be the Muslim Theocrats who rule the Muslim countries.)
 
Not every Muslim citizen is a Muslim by choice. Some are Muslim by cultural imperative. Be Holy or die is the motto.
But the Mullahs are a different story, they didn't get where they are by being squidgey about the Religion of Hate and mass Murder.

Spongebama Losing Popularity? Could Be.

Hope & Change is wearing thin even on the Dems. In an interview an official Dimkrat Socialist Spokesbabe makes the case that there was a hestitation on the part of some voters regarding Hope & Change. She may not be asked to do this again since she mentions that since people are now seeing what the policies of Hope & Change are, .....oops the Poll numbers are sliding like a rock in warm ice cream.
 
And then she mentions "He's coming off a great week with the stock market rebounding" Is that why his poll numbers are sinking? No. That could be why he is still at 57%, but even that bubble may burst, if it wasn't for the stock market rebound, I wonder just how low he might have been?
 
Then she goes to the "Just give it (Porkulus) a chance!" It's only been a month! Who do you think this guy (Spongebama) is ? Jesus Christ? He's close perhaps, but not quite there?
 
 
 
Similar to the shifting sands of the Mojave Desert so are the changes of fortune for politicians.
I just don't know if I can wait for the hourglass to run empty!
