I Want Gov't Healthcare?

The healthcare currently available in the United States has as it's primary focus the saving of lives. That's OK as far as it goes, which in some cases might be too far. In the U.K. the government runs the healthcare system in such a manner as to allow otherwise perfectly healthy individuals, who may be two knots shy of a well tied sholace, to choose to die by drinking anti-freeze. While the death of the person in question is both sad and regrettable, the fault it seems does not lie with the person who succumbed to the mental illness which led her to make the choice to pursue this course nine times in the past year. Each previous time Miss Wooltorton who was 26 had made the choice to accept dialysis as treatment for the ingestion of the ethylene glycol poison.
 
The latest attempt though took a very different course when Ms Wooltorton chose to bring along a living will which 'intimidated' the medical staff at Norwalk & Norwich University Hospital in the U.K.
The consulting renal physician Alexander Heaton made a statement at the inquest into the death of Ms. Wooltorton that the medical director and legal advisor had made a judgement of competent capacity and to disregard the wishes of the lady would be tantamount to assault.
 
  • Asked what would have happened if he had intervened, he said: 'It's my duty to follow her wishes.
  • 'I would have been breaking the law and I wasn't worried about her suing me but I think she would have asked 'What do I have to do to tell you what my wishes are?'
  • 'She had made them abundantly clear and I was content that that was the case.
Despite the practise of euthanasi still being illegal in the U.K.
 
Despite the previous nine attempts which to any 'competent' physician would have pointed to a mental imbalance severe enough to warrant intervention in the tenth attempt.
 
  • Dr Heaton added: 'She was in no state to resist me and I could have forced treatment on her but I don't think it was the right thing to do.
  • 'I feel it would have been assault.'

I'm not certain Hippocrates would have agreed with that statement.

My point in this is that as government intervention in medical care increases, so does the concern of physicians who have no desire to be charged with malpractice in a litigous society. There may well be no over-riding connection between the two, but they have both been increasing apace and it does seem difficult to completely separate the two. In the past, the malpractice concerns of physicians would have been more limited to actual malpractice. As in treating a patient and doing a bad job of it. Now with more government regulations and the scrutiny of politicians trying to appease the proponents in favor of euthanasia, doctors are more likely to make choices dictated by legal concerns rather than the Hippocratic Oath.
It seems trial lawyers such as former Sen. and former VP candidate John Edwards have also played a tremendous part in the degradation of the medical profession in the United States in my opinion. But they do that with the conivance of judges and a willing governmental establishment.
 
For me and mine, turning over the health system to a government which couldn't even run The Mustang Ranch in Nevada without going broke doesn't seem like a good idea. If they can't make a go of it in Nevada running a whorehouse and selling booze why should I believe they can do better with cardiology, oncology or any other medical process?

The Definition of "Is" Is What Barry?

What is the definition of "is". B Hussein Obama in the debate last night and on his website continues to dance the dance of plausible deniabiity regarding his association with the Organized Campaign Fraud Oganization ACORN.
Another lawyer doing the dance, I'm sure that's just what the country needs now, another legal shark  who should stick to chasing ambulances instead of running for any office.
 
Barry's website has apparently very craftily the wording on the Obama-lama-ding-dong webstire to skirt the issue of when he worked in conjunction with, when he trained for, and when he was in cahoots with ACORN in the Chicago Voter Fraudulent Registration drives, when ACORN worked for Obama and his campaign in the primaries to outdo the Hillary in the Voter Fraud contest.(Dem Primary)
 
Dang! All of this garbage just keeps making Gov. Sarah Palin keep on looking better and better. I personally like the idea she has very little experience in politics, that is the politics of fraud, greed, and a permanent position in the New American Aristocracy (CONgress)

Obama vs. Phillip J Berg. Citizen Or Not?

Philip J. Berg, a former democrat Atty. General in Pennsylvania has sued Barack Hussein Obama to force the BHO to produce his birth certificate, to prove that BHO is in fact a natural born citizen.
BHO has refused so far and the case drags on.
 
 
 
If Obama is a citizen, legaly, why not produce records to substantiate the claim and lay to rest the issue once and for all.
Surely by this time even Obama can have had a false birth certificate created!
 
If Obama's not an actual citizen of the US of A, then what in the name of gooey gravy posessed him to let the farce continue so long?
Obama is naive and a moron in some ways, but very shrewd in the ways of Chicago Thug Politics, in Chicago Politics documents are created or ordered as needed for those in power or for those who suck up to those in power.
 
Obama may have miscalculated his ability to ride the wave of his Chicago Thuggery and his meteoric rise to stardom as the POTUS.
From his position as POTUS records can be altered and arranged by the likes of Attorney General Bill Ayers, HUD Secretary Jeremiah Wright, CIA Director Al Sharpton, or FBI Director Jesse Jackson.
 
But at this point, none of those options are available, it should and must be proven who this ChiTown Thug really is. Before an election is stolen by a Manchurian Candidate 2008.
 
In the movie "Manchurian Candidate", the unwitting accomplice to the Communist regimes plot was Staff Sergeant Raymond Shaw.
Shaw had been brainwashed and sent back to the lines to do his dirty deed at a later date when triggered.
 
Obama seems a 21st Century Manchurian Candidate, a person who has been brainwashed, not unwittingly, but by choice, by hanging out with nothing but radical Socialist, Communists, and Black Liberation proponents (Rev Wright).
 
The idea of having a Socialist in charge of the greatest Capitalist nation on the planet must "make a tingle run up the legs" of Ayers, Wright, Obama, Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Vlad Putin, Ted Kennedy, and John Effen Kerry.
 
Which as I type it brings to mind whether or not Hugo Chavez who is awash in Petro Dollars has found a way to cycle funds to Obama in some nefarious way. Although I don't go in for conspiracy theories , the concept seems not unlikely since Chavez had been accusing the US of doing precisely that against him in his last election.
 
Obama plus Irainian, Saudi, and Venezuelan Petro Dollars, a match made in hell.
