The NY Times doesn't like what Sen. John McCain had to say, and refused to print the Op-Ed piece he wrote, which is OK since the NYT is a private enterprise and can do as they please.

I have no disagreement with freedom of the press, I do however have a problem with censoring the views of one candidate with respect to the views of any other candidate. A very fine line I know, but the blatant disregard for a balanced approach to the reporting by the Times brings into question whether the NYT is an actual news outlet or if it happens to be an outlet which is striving toward driving the news.
Again an admittedly fine line to walk, but not impossible to do. I would point to the work done at
DigitalJournal.com as a much better method of news reporting versus news driving. Those articles which are clearly agenda driven are identified as such and should not be confused with those which are straight reporting of facts.
The NYT seems to be a bit full of itself and its former grandeur as the "Old Gray Lady".
The NYT has shown a consistent bias in favor of Sen. Obama, but has still not identified itself as being a corporation with an agneda of helping Sen. Obama get elected as president.
Perhaps the NYT should task some of their staff to study the process at Digital Journal to find out if they are really adhering to any of the tenets of journalism.
Or perhaps a brief foray through the halls of the first school of journalism might be of assistance to them.
Re-reading Walter Williams'
Journalist's Creed might help also.
Although reading through the Jornalist's Creed might offend most of the NYT staff, it might also offer them insight as to why their readership is in the tank, along with all of the other Left Leaning Sychophanitc tabloid newsrags pandering to the deranged, mentally challenged pin heads of the Lunatic Left Fringe.
In Russia, North Korea China Zimbabwe, the governement tells the Newsrags what they can or cannot print, in this country we have an entirely different slant on political censorship, the newsrag tells the candidate for office what to write so it will be published.
Spiffy. I would call the NYT a bunch of azzhat mogoloids, but I have too much respect for the mongoloids who are simply different from the rest of us, and are oft times just trying to fit into a culture which has problems with people who appear different or challenged in some way or another.
For the NYT, I hope they go belly up this year, if not maybe next year. They all need to find jobs they can actually excel at, like bed pan cleaners or rat semen collectors or IRS agents or..... you get the idea I'm sure.
And one last thing about the title, The NYT does more than lean to the left they practically bend over forward and grab the ankles for the leftoids.
